Presentation Instructions

Oral Presentations:

  • Contributed oral talks are 20 minutes in length, with 15 minutes for presentation, and 5 minutes for questions.
  • Invited talks are 40 minutes in length, with 30 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions.

ICMCTF will provide Windows laptop computers running MS Office, screens, microphones, laser pointers, and projectors in all session rooms, as well as an HDMI connection from podium to projector. This is subject to change, but you will be notified well in advance of the Conference. Please note that PowerPoint is the recommended presentation software and each laptop will have PowerPoint 2010 or later—the preferred format is 16:9; you may use 4:3 but there will be black space above and below your presentation on some of the screens. Please plan to use the master computer provided in the session room or note that your computer must connect to the HDMI. You may load your presentation to the session laptop prior to the session start or during a break. Please allow ample time for this before your talk. If you are using your own computer with the HDMI connection, it is important that personal computer/projector compatibility issues be worked out well in advance of your presentation and the projector should be compatible with both PC’s and MAC’s; however, please bring a copy of your presentation on a USB as a back-up.

Poster Presentations:

The poster session will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, in the Golden State Ballroom within the Town and Country Hotel Convention Center, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

  • Poster boards will be available for presenters to mount their posters at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Posters must be removed immediately following the Thursday evening session; please note that we cannot take responsibility for any posters left on the boards after the session.
  • Presenters must be available next to (or near) their poster during the entire poster session.
  • Each poster presenter will be allotted space that is 48 inches x 48 inches high. Please make your poster no larger than 46 inches wide by 46 inches high to ensure it fits nicely into the allotted space. The boards are made from cork, and tacks will be available for posting your work.
  • A sign with your program number and presenter will be placed at the location where you are to display your work. When preparing your poster presentation, please include the title of your presentation, the author listing, and the program number.
  • All poster materials should be removed at the close of the session.  Please return all push pins to the originally provided containers.  The conference will not be responsible for any poster materials remaining on the boards.
